Taking expresso in Italy
It is a ritual which can be repeated two to four times a day. One can take it with friends or more often alone, as it is not so easy to manage the coffee taking.
Espresso taking is an instant operation (15 – 30 seconds). A consumer usually reserves this instant for him and doesn’t matter for people and things around him (there is even no place for a cigarette) – or sometimes just some words or looks between two sips are dedicated to others. Taking Espresso coffee is right opposite like in most of other countries where coffee is a mean of socialisation.
IT TAKES TO ECSTASY
A consumer pays attention to the bartender doing Espresso. It starts with the exact order – just few words – and than (the consumer) follows bartender’s motions secretly with one eye, from time to time with both, but with an disinterested glance – not to embarrass him. This way the consumer drives himself to a kind of ecstasy which reaches its peak during drinking it. Observing Italians you can notice that after finishing the coffee it takes some 10 – 15 seconds to return back to a real life. So espresso taking is a kind of ecstasy – no other coffee product, maybe Macchiato, let it.
